Post This book is a must for Mini derivate fans and owners!!!!!
Just wanted to let you know that there is a nice and usefull book about Mini derivates, written by a Dutch guy, named Jeroen Booij. Jeroen has searched the whole world for the rarest Mini derivates and even found the examples thought to be crushed and no longer existing.

Anyone interested can order the book via:

The Stimson is in The Netherlands, and as far as I know owned by someone that I know. He also owns a Marcos Mini and a GTM Coupé. Both the Marcos and GTM are for sale, link attached

A old topic I know
but I was looking through this book today and decided to see if I could find any reveiws on it :?:

Below are some Independent Reviews, notice how much "Mini World" support the Mini based scene.

Classic & Sports Car
BOOK OF THE MONTH. Jeroen Booij's superb analysis of Mini specials captivated the C&SC office. Simply brilliant.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Totalkitcar.com
With over 500 colour and mono photos, a large majority of which have never been seen before in print, this book seems to have been compiled with the same enthusiasm as the owners treat these little cars. Definitely a contender for specialist car book of the year. Buy it…

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Classic Cars For Sale
It's very well researched and nicely written ... well worth the £24.99 asked.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

coachbuild.com
... describes all the known and many unknown Mini-based cars in a great style and with over 500 pictures that have never seen print before.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dep-o.co.uk
If you’ve got any interest in Minis, you’re going to find this book very hard to resist. Grab a copy while you can. 5/6.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mini Cooper Register
This unique book covers almost 60 cars, all of which are derivatives of the Mini. There is a massive number of specials I'd never seen before. They are all here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minimarcos.org.uk
Maximum Mini is THE book to have if your main interest is in Mini derivatives. This is more than just a book - it's been a labour of love for the author.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Octane
This is not just a book about Minis. It's about the weird and wonderful cars that were based on the Mini ... packed with ephemera as well as colour pictures of 59 cars. Jeroen Booij has done a top job.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Australian Classic Car
Mini fans will get happily lost in Maximum Mini, with details on everything from Gordon's Minibug to the 'big sellers' like the Mini Marcos GT.If you're a mini enthusiast or you just have a coffee table with some spare space, you need to buy Maximum Mini.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mini World
A great collection of Mini-derived car and kit cars.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Automobile
The Dutch author gives a colourful spread to each [car], with a full background of its design and the people involved. Example of all those covered have been found for the photographs.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mini Experience, Australia
It is refreshing to see such a departure from the norm, in a book written with such passion for the subject. A book for any serious aficionado, to the casual viewer, or anyone with a sense of the ridiculous.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tiscali.co.uk
Everything from small GTs to fun cars is covered in this fascinating book, all models are well-researched and written plus there are over 500 colour pictures. If you're a classic Mini fan, you need to own this book.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Classic Cars
The number if bizarre treatments foisted upon the classic Mini running gear may never end, but Booij has catalogued plenty here and it makes interesting, if sometimes scary, reading. Some of the higher quality ones such as the Mini Marcos you may know, and there are some potent performance versions, too. Others are forlornly quaint or just plain wrong, and to track them down is a work of dedication.

I think "Mini" mag is more open to Mini derivatives than Mini World -- last year they ran articles on a couple of Marcos(i) and even a Deep Sanderson.

true, but I think its more of a "Marque promotion", Attending club events, using your car on the road/track, going to shows, entering events and talking to interseted people saying "whats that".

Without us using our cars I don't belive that the GTM Marque will get the recognition it deserves
