Re: Update Heerey GTM project Michiel Kisjes The Netherlands
A quick update of my Heerey GTM. Last time the whole suspension was still on the chassis, that is taken of now, so what's left is a bare chassis in a very bad condition. This means that I have to rebuild the chassis as most of the panels are non-original or in such a poor state that they can't be saved. Well that's what you can expect, when you buy such a old car in a incomplete condition, so I will put the shoulders under it and make it as new during the comming years.
I will start with the chassis first. This will be done at a friends place as he has the skills to weld it and give the chassis the rebuild it should have. In the meantim I will fix the bodyshell in our garage. After that I will rebuild the suspension, but first there are the hardest jobs to tackle
Some pictures below. By the way, I have found someone who has two wooden 15" Les Leston steering wheels for sale, dihsed and in a very good condition. I have bought one, there is still one left. So if there's anyone who wants to grab a bargain, let me know.
People can do strange things with subframes .......
Yes, the Minifins (original) are still with the car!
It's looking a bit sad now .....
That's it for now, when there's any more news I will give you an update!
Regards,
Michiel.
