Post Bleedin K3
Ok here goes, I thought I had got the car reasonably sorted, done about 600 miles since fitting a new engine then blew a coolant hose off, return side of the engine, engine seems ok. I connected it back ok but couldn't get it to bleed properly so went home on a recovery truck. I have spent a couple of evenings trying to sort it but seem to be going backwards, the heater circuit seemed fine but wouldn't circulate to the rad when the thermostat opened although the rad seemed full of water. Now the heater circuit doesn't seem too keen to flow even though it appears to be full. When I changed the engine it took a while to bleed it but got there in the end being fairly logical about it.
Any one suggest how they bleed theirs?
Thinking I might try fitting a remote thermostat while I am at it, is it true there is one fitted to the freelander?
Thanks

Bleeding - it's a right pig :evil:

From what I remember we ended up with the back of the car jacked up as high as we could get it.

The other things reputed to help;
Longer than usual hoses on the header tank and lift that as well
Some one mentioned but never fully described using a 2 ltr garden spray the presurised contents getting injected to force out the air (not seen this and not sure I can fully picture it :? )
