Chassis Numbers
HI all I have noticed since I bought my GTM that there seems to be a bit of confusion surrounding Chassis Numbers. Why do car have three numbers and then either A,B,or C? My car is chassis number 192a can anyone shed any light on this?

Re: Chassis Numbers
I'm sure I read somewhere that the a,b or c related to the level of kit supplied?

Re: Chassis Numbers
Ok thanks for that. How were the kits sent out originally? What does the "A" mean on my kit then.

Re: Chassis Numbers
Have dug out some paperwork that came with my Coupe when I bought it back in '93... have scanned the appropriate pieces which show all the individual part packs that could be bought and also the kit pack options. Just depended on how much cash you had at the time or how much of the kit you wanted to source from the donor by the looks... My chassis is 222c and was first purchased in Jan '86 as a type 'c' kit and registered in Aug '87, so I would guess that yours was originally purchased in late '85 as a type 'a' kit option. Anyone know of my kit's original purchaser, a Mr Hibbs from Spondon, Derby? Full address not printed for obvious reasons.. Wonder if he's ever bought another GTM?
