Hi all.

As mentioned below, I have an unregistered GTM Coupe which I am hoping to get on the road.

I've had an email exchange with a technical officer at VOSA and can confirm the following:

1) Cars manufactured more than ten years ago are exempt from IVA tests.

2) Kit cars are deemed not to have been 'manufactured' until they have passed the IVA test, regardless of when the vehicle was assembled.

As the man from VOSA put it, this was "not the answer you were looking for" - but was the answer I expected.

IMO this complies with the various Statutory Instruments relating to SVA / IVA - but only if you define 'manufactured' in the particular way they do.
