 Coupe overall dims
Can anyone help with the overall dimensions of the coupe? Wheelbase would be helpful too.
Thanks

 Re: Coupe overall dims
I've found the overals dims elsewhere on the 'net - i'm ok for width, but length is 3355mm, and my trailer is 3120 Anyone any idea what the length would be with the "bonnet" removed? Ta

 Re: Coupe overall dims
It would be very close, but with the bonnet removed it should be about the same length as your trailer.
It might take a while to take off, including the radiator and front bracket.
Can't you just have a bit of overhang? The car would have to be on the trailer in reverse, because of the weight of the engine, so you might get away with it.
What car have you got?

 Re: Coupe overall dims
It's a plant trailer with a hinged tailboard that doesn't easily detach - so no overhangs unless I get a couple of planks and put it on at an angle - front end up.
Not got one just yet - but ended up bidding on the one currently on ebay - and have a backup in Scotland if that's a no - go. Dependant on the shape of the scottish one, I might get both and save on SVA!

 Re: Coupe overall dims
If you get the one that is on Ebay at the moment, I've got some spare glass, for the window that is missing on it.
I think the car is only down the road from me too.

 Re: Coupe overall dims
Thanks, i'll bear that in mind - I'm in Loughborough quite often as we've got an office there. Might have to check the markings on them - as i'm gonna have to do SVA if I get it!
Cheers

 Re: Coupe overall dims
I'll have a look and see if there are any kite marks on the glass. If I were you I'd check to see if the car was ever registered. Maybe the documents have been lost, rather than never having anything. It would certainly save alot of hassle, not having to get it through a test!

 Re: Coupe overall dims
As far as glass and SVA goes - there is no requirement for a car to have glass in the openings (unless it's structural). If the glass doesn't have the correct markings simply remove it for the test. In the case of the windscreen this also means they won't test the heater (demist device) and you don't need wipers or washers.

 Re: Coupe overall dims
Isn't taking the glass out classed as cheating and be frowned upon?
I've seen a lot of accounts where people have taken bits off - but never that drastic!
I'll just have to what happens I suppose.
