Post Rear body alignment
Daughter has come back after been away at some festival for the last week and the back end of the Rossa was held down by a big bungee strap. She swears she hasn't hit anything but it looks like something has hit her or someone has tried lifting the car by one of the wheel arches at the back and it is now a complete mess. No cracked glassfibre but I had a good go at realigning the mounting points to no avail.
The nearside will close up so there is no gap between the rear clam and the main tub, however the off side is somewhere near 2" high and nowhere near meeting the main body tub. I loosened the bolts holding the main rear mounting point on both sides and was able to move things a little but no amount of movement will bring it anywhere near to where the rear clam needs to be.
Is the rear frame only held in place by the two large bolts at the bottom of the subframe and two small attachments to near the rear suspension units? Is there any room for movement around there or is that a fixed point with no adjustment?
Is there any other places I should be looking at to get some adjustment or is it possible the rear subframe has been bent?
Just looking for some ideas of where there maybe some adjustment or any measurements I can do to see what has "moved" for when I get home later.

Is it possible that the clam has either been propped open for extended period or shut down on something whilst in hot sun? It could have warped.

Apparently not, the rear was only opened the once to get the camping gear out and then closed up again till time to repack and come home.
Slightly twisted due to heat would mean that I could still force the clam shut and nearly line it up but no amount of brutallity will get this close.
Will just have to remove the whole back end and see if there is anything obvious and start from there.
Thanks anyway.

Post Re: Rear body alignment
Managed to get sometime on the car over the weekend and have now assertained that the rear subframe has moved. The offside "front" mount has pulled backwards and this is the reason the rear clam is so far out and why no amount of brutal force will get it right.
Anyway a new mount is been sorted and then hopefully all will realign.
I had some difficulty getting a mount so another question is, does anyone know of a supplier of Metro parts.
I can get mini parts no problem but finding places that will or can still supply metro bits is getting very difficult. I know Rossabitz can supply certain bits and pieces but I would like to know if there are any other places still supplying. If there is then I may buy certain bits and pieces that I currently don't need but may do in the future as a safe gaurd.

I usually go on to ebay and search for 'Metro' under Cars, Parts & Vehicles and then refine it to Parts. There's stilll quite a few suppliers out there but I know what you mean about squirreling some away :)

I have been looking on evilbay and I have managed to locate certain bits and pieces but I was just wondering if there was a specialist supplier with a good source of bits for the metro or 100 anywhere.
If you want anything for a mini you are well covered but the metro is getting more difficult to get bits for.

I would talk to Owen Turner at The Rover Centre in St Albans, him and his brother Jamie have rallied Metros for ages.
Their no. is 01727 834004 They do have a web site http://www.roverofstalbans.co.uk/ but I suspect it's best to just talk to them! Their other numbers are on the Edurance Rallying web site http://www.endurance-rallying.co.uk/page8.html

Dino. that's what I was hoping for, St. Albans is not far from me so that's great. Anyone know of any others.
