Re: Roll Cage
I have an FIA roll cage in my car which is a track car.
I know it cost about £1400, I have the invoice which came with the car when I bought it.
Regards
David

Re: Roll Cage
1400 is for a full FIA roll cage.
A road safety device must be cheaper.

Re: Roll Cage
Just found this after a search... http://www.gtmdrivers.com/forum/post4800.html?hilit=roll#p4800A very nice looking job. Wonder if my old man will have the patience to fabricate something like that. Or I could get a few miles of tube and try it myself. Which reminds me, I must learn to weld.

Re: Roll Cage
How many owners would like a roll cage ? if we a club together, and get some made to bolt in ,could be cheaper than doing one by one . thanks

Re: Roll Cage
I'd quite like a front hoop that could be bolted in and would brace to the standard rear roll bar via some bolt in/clamp on roof bars - can't see that being more than a couple of hundred at the most.

David Maybe not. A couple of years ago i had a chat with Performance Protection at Race Retro and told them i did'nt want spend that much on a cage for a Coupe. The guy did offer to supply all or some of the parts preformed for me to weld in. Could be worth a phone call.

Re: Roll Cage
In the current economic climate I have no doubt that there are all sorts of deals to be done. I have actually just dug out the invoice and my memory is not so good - the roll cage was fitted in June 2008 and it is described as "6 point internal cage for GTM Coupe - PP700 - bare steel" cost £1,008.15 including VAT.
regards
David

Re: Roll Cage
I have most of a cage for the coupe. No idea where it was made. missing a bar which goes across the back and one door bar.
