I am trying to track down the coupe which I built with my
dad some 31 years ago. I checked the mot status on gov.uk and found that it
was last mot’d in mid 2018 and is currently sorn, it also stated that the V5
was changed in 2017. Knowing this I searched your forum and found a thread
from 2017 from a user Cyprusman. He describes purchasing a car in 1994 that
was registered in December 1989. His description of the car and the purchase
convinces me that this was the car I built, Q214 JOD. I have tried to email
him using the email he left in his thread, but have unfortunately had no
response. Many times over the years I have thought of trying to find my GTM
but loosing my Dad has focused me to get it done. Perhaps the new owner has
given the car a good home and has no intention of selling the car. The fact
that the car has not been mot’d for 2 years and is also not taxed, has given
me some hope that it might be available to purchase. At the very least I
could leave my details in case they ever decided to part with her. I am
hopeful that someone on the forum may be able to help.
