 Re: Swappsie??
Forget Red tops - they'll clash heavily with the bulkhead.
Whats the problem with converting the Rossa? I know it sounds a bit sad to begin with, but why not look at fitting a Susi G13B or Nissan Micra engine and tuning the nuts out of it? The micra especially is a tiny unit where you don't have to chop the original subby around too much.

 Re: Swappsie??
i never thought of that...i was trying to source a K10 Micra March...but i cant find one in the UK... even looked at a Starlet GT Turbo engine,
Apparently changing the engine in a rossa is a little more difficult than it is in a Coupe/Cox...if my mate hadnt went AWOL i'd have just got him to do it...

The best photo's i've seen on the Micra engine are here: http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/in ... opic=57644They're supposed to be well tune-able due to the stupid stock inlet manifold.

 Re: Swappsie??
I read that thread about a year ago... was a good read,
I've been told my mate who's a fiberglass laminator was in work today, so i will try phone his work n catch him...but I think i'll need to track down a Zcar subframe surly for a engine thats not a mini 1?

 Re: Swappsie??
Nah - make your own. z-car ones won't fit directly as they're built to replace a rear subby in effect - and most other aftermarket ones are built to have all the strength in the rear - not like we need. The beauty of the Micra engine is it'll fit in a standard modified subby without huge fabricationing.
