Post electric waterpump
Does anyone use a davies craig EWP with controller on their coupe? I like the idea of being able to circulate the water still once engines turned off. Also a bit less power losses and slight increase in economy is always a good thing!

I started using a Mikuni electric pump on the Kawasaki engine in my race car with good results, but not tried a Davies Craig on an A series, if I did I would remove and blank off the the standard pump. From an engineering point of view a variable speed engine driven pump in series with an electric pump is a big no no

I used one on mine.

I didn't use the controller but I did use a thermostatic switch so that it would not run until after the thermostat had opened.

I also kept the original water pump.

I wired it direct to a 12v supply so that after the engine was turned off it would continue to run to get rid of the heat soak problem.

Just a word of caution when wiring electric pumps, don't be tempted to wire a switch into the pump circuit, if the ignition is on the pump should be running, it is too easy to forget to switch on the pump in the heat of the moment
If you want to keep the pump running with the engine not running switch off the ignition and fuel pump then switch the ignition back on to keep the water circulation going

Or, alternatively you could use a delay off relay, which would let it run for a set time after the ignition is turned off.

That is what is fitted to my Radical by the factory.

I managed to fit mine just below the standard water pump. It was a bit of a squeeze but it worked fine and kept the plumbing simple.
