I had decided that one of the first things to do on my coupe was to sort the rattling side windows so I ordered two complete side window kits from mini spares. They turned up today so I unpacked them and tried the various pieces against the car and found that the two bottom seals were short and not only are the two chrome/stainless steel strips short but also the window catch locking holes appear to be in the wrong place! Have I ordered the wrong parts or am I being a bit dim but it does seem that the coupes doors are longer than a minis.

Cheers Bruce.

Coupe windows are longer than mini, if my memory is correct only the window catches from a mini are usable my old Cox had sliding windows, the Coupe I'm building now has a one piece window with a circular vent from Car Builder Solutions fitted

I seem to remember when i done my coupe (back in the early 90's) that i bought long strips & cut them to size. But don't know if you can still buy them like that :?: :?:

The frame of the Cox/Coupe is a channel specially formed for the car, it is not a Mini Door frame cut off and bolted on to the Coupe door. you will then need to get some plastic and cut new windows using the old ones as a template.
This is what you need.

I know Derek Hambly has the glass in stock.
I think I still have the stainless steel channels.

Is the channel for the slider rubber to sit in not just the one off a mini?

Hi folks thanks for all your replies. My window glass is in good condition it was the seals and chrome locking strips that I tried to replace with ones from mini spares but the coupe windows are about 25mm longer.
Rossabitz when would be the best time to phone you?
Cheers Bruce.
