K3/Metro Pedal box failure

Post subject:  K3/Metro Pedal box failure
Hi all, just wanted to do a warning message to all with K3s with the modified metro pedal box. Mine just failed on me rendering me without brakes or clutch.

Mines a factory built car so probably a few similar cars out there so worth a check if it looks a bit thin!

hi thanks for the warning message

if you mean the brake pedal broke they were all made in the factory.
the metro pedals required to be shortened and this was undertaken by GTM on an exchange basis.

I will have look at my one as I have changed the pedal ratio brake-upgrade-for-k3-t3742.html

Photos below - seems to have failed at the bolt hole and spread from there - was only attached with one bolt in my on that side which is also a bit concerning!

Been around the rest of the car with a VERY fine comb looking for similar issues and found a couple of other 2 bolts where 6 would be better scenarios which are now also rectified!

thanks for this I will check my one I thought you were saying the pedal and not the frame was broken

I found that It was only attached with one bolt on one side I can't remember if I fixed it with two
I can't think I would have left it with one
