K3 Windscreen
Hi everyone. Can someone help me with advice on obtaining a new windscreen fo a K3? My current one has been smashed, while parked up, by a roof tile that came off in a recent storm. I have gone through insurers who put me in touch with Auto Windscreens but their suppliers provided a Citroen Visa screen, which has the right profile, but is slightly too tall (by 5mm) it was a Pilkington make. The Visa has the windscreen fitted in a rubber channel so probably has some flexibility but the K3 is bonded into a recess so won’t quite fit as it catches on the bodywork and won’t seat properly. I’d be very grateful for suggestions on how to to obtain one of the correct size. Cheers, Kevin

https://www.gtmdrivers.com/forum/k3-front-windscreen-what-is-it-from-t2791.htmlThis previous thread appears to give the answer. Citroen Visa/C15 van is the correct windscreen but it seems you aren't the only one who has found it too big as it seems the aftermarket ones are slightly bigger than the original ones. It seems other fitters have been able to trim it a little to make it fit. As they are laminated rather than toughened cutting them should be feasible for a good fitter

Re: K3 Windscreen
Thanks for the advice. I will see if I can find a fitter who can make it fit. If not I’ll have to see what insurers recommend. Hopefully not a potential write off.

Nice to see someone else on the forum. It’s been quiet for a while.
