Immobiliser
Is there a way of disabling the immobiliser, or if not, a way of stopping it from coming on automatically when the engine is switched off? It's a right PITA having to fumble round with the fob and lock/unlock the car every time you stop/start it. My car is a V6 but I guess it's the same as a K series in this respect.

Re: Immobiliser
If it is a Mems3 ecu it can be disabled but I think its done as part of a re-flash. Someone like K-Maps would do it but not sure what they charge if you just wanted to kill the immobiliser and not have a remap. Might be worth giving them a call, they are friendly people.

Re: Immobiliser
Must be different to the 5AS in my K as I leave it off all the time and it doesn't 'arm' when engine is turned off. The 5AS is just there cos it has to be for engine to work. I have mems3 and could prob have it disabled/removed etc but it doesn't cause problems so i leave it alone.
I have a separate alarm/immobiliser linked to the doors etc.

Re: Immobiliser
It is possible to have auto arm switched on or off. Dudley at Talon used to do it, sadly they aren't there anymore but I know there are various specialists who can do it.
