 12" on 13" Coupe
Anyone had experence of running a 13" Wheeled Coupe on 12" wheels (165x60x12 tyres)
I can get a set off a mini cheap (Remember I'm Scottish ) and wondered if it was worth it.

If you move to 12" wheels it will affect the overall gearing of the car. There is a good calculator here to work out the effect of different tyre and wheel sizes.
http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg2.html
Scroll about 1/3 of the way down page 2.
Your speedo will also need re-calibrating.
12" wheels will also limit your tyre choice as they are much less common than they used to be.
12" wheels may also look a little odd as they won't fill the wheel arches in the same way but that's down to personal taste.

my 13" bodied gtm uses the 12" cosmic pentire wheels and they fill the arches quite nicely, but they do use the metro size tyre. the speedo may not need re-caliberating as the rolling radius of the wheels may be the same depending on which tyres you use! hope this is of some help
ps heres a pic of mine just to show you: http://s76.photobucket.com/albums/j18/r ... CF0249.jpg

Guess who
Yup i ran 12s on mine when i first got it, 155/70/12, also ran these with my first honda incarnation Tyre choice is rather limited tho and getting very had to get, unless its mini sizes which do tend to look a little small and still only a couple of choices, in my view, found a pic of my old Coupe wearing 12s and it just doesnt look as nice as my current 13s/tyre combo. which give me a sensible rideheight with my current suspension set up, my car was a little low when it was on 12s
also the car will ride the bumps pot holes of the road alot better if the tyre diameter is bigger

I have to agree with west ,i ran my coupe on 12s and it was to low ,looked pants with a big gap around the wheel arch , im now on sportspack with 175/60/13s on the front and 185/60/13 on the rear and its a lot better alround ,save you money
