I'm currently killing time waiting to fly somewhere warm but I do so with a list of things to do to my K3 when I return. The first is to do with my brakes. I'm very weak in my right knee and ankle so not doing something isn't an option.
It is currently fitted with an MGF setup on 240mm discs. It has a remote servo for the front only. The pedal will lock the brakes but it isn't comfortable or safe for me. I have fitted 15" mgf alloys to allow improvements.
I will be fitting either mini R53 brakes front and rear which are plenty good enough at 280mm, R53 front and ST150 rear discs and mgf calipers. I've used both on previous cars.
The thing I haven't come across before are the master cylinder and remote servo set up . The servo doesn't seem to be doing much and there is a general sheen on it and the master cylinder which may be an issue or just cleaning by the previous resident. The master cylinder seems to be sat on a turret . The photo is terrible but maybe someone has seen it before but what is it? I may go to twin master cylinders and do away with the servo which worked well on my 7 and my rally cars or I may rework the pedal box.
