Thanks Ian, great explanation..checked the spray paint lid tonight, and it's a bit small for my front lights, so I am on the hunt through the kitchen to use for the form! or a trip to the local hardware store to see what I can find, as no lathe to turn anything..

Found some good forms to use in the plastics cupboard! Found a round plastic take out container that's a perfect size and taper for the front lights, a rectangular plastic storage container for enlarging the carb box at the rear, and a plastic plant container for forming the opening for my gas tank filler cover... Don't tell the wife!
