 Choke cable advice
Hi All,
What choke cable is best suited to the Coupe? - I recently swapped the throttle cable for a Hillman Imp number, but build manual I have offers no hints for choke.
Cable pull is to rear of gearshift, through roof of tunnel.
Many thanks.
Dan.

Back in the day when i was A series powered and there were good independant auto factors i managed to find a choke cable that was a universal fit and from memory was 6 foot long and did the trick nicely, im guessing europa spares may do somthing like this or enenf prehaps fleabay may have soem universal types

also car builders solutions has loads of stuff which you might find useful. theres a bit where you can download the full catalogue and youll find some choke cables there.

I used a Hillman Imp choke cable and operating lever. It was designed to be tunnel mounted in the first place so it looks right.
I modified the lever mounting bracket a little but the cable went straight on.

 Re: Choke cable advice
I like the style of the Imp choke lever I may give that a go myself. Whilst in the vacinity of the transmission tunnel, can anyone help with the sourcing of a switch for the mini hand brake lever to operate the "hand brake on" light featured amongst the triumph warniing light dashboard round cluster.

I'll be calling in to Europa in the morning. I'll ask what they can recommend.

 Re: Choke cable advice
I've already got my imp choke lever. Seem the best option and they suit the look of the car. I just need to sort out a cable length, but I've got a load of jobs before then.
