 Re: Who bought this then.........
I got it back home today, Ive spent all day on it and its a lot closer to completion. I am stuck in a few places though and i was wondering if someone could help?
It has Rover metro rear subframe and running gear and Mini (i think austin) front subframe and gear. I need to change the front brakes from standard mini to 4 pot Austin metro items. What parts do I need i.e two calipers different brake hoses etc?
Also i have no side or rear glass does any one have any or any made of perspex. And how are the side windows held to the door?
Thirdly what seals are the door seals as mine are missing
Any help would be fantastic

Thanks for the welcome.
I completely forgot as well someone has had the remote servo off of it but the single master cylinder remains. What is the best remote servo to fit?

 Re: Who bought this then.........
You need a pair of Metro 4 pot calipers for the earlier solid discs (if you're sticking with the Mini discs) a kit to convert the calipers to single line m/c (available from Minispares etc) and some ERA Mini caliper bolts (again Minispares) I seriously doubt you'll need a servo at all. The above should all fit the Mini uprights and give you a relatively cheap decent set-up.

 Re: Who bought this then.........
Looks like you have drums up front. You'll need a complete mini hub setup to start with before you start converting to 4-pot. Side windows are 2 piece sliders they are trapped between the surround and the lower channels. As they are flat, you should be able to get some made pretty easily. Door seals are generic from someone like europa spares. Something like this: https://www.europaspares.com/product/137/15207/TRIM/RUBBER_SEALS/DOOR_SEAL___STANDARD___SDS_.html

Phil, I know I'm old and can't see very well but they looked like discs with no calipers to me, could be wrong though.

 Re: Who bought this then.........
Its mini hubs and discs without calipers up front(pcd 101.6) and rover 100 on the rear (pcd 95.25). I want to fit a 95.25 pcd setup on the front so i am looking at rover 100 parts. Did the rover 100 gti have bigger brakes than the other 100 models? Also with the hubs off a 100 bolt straight up to the mini suspension and subframe? cheers

 Re: Who bought this then.........
Any idea of the history on this car? I take it that this is not as the factory produced the kit - high roof, wide arches and Rover 100 subframe? If you can post some pictures of the subframe arrangement that would be interesting to see how it's been done. What's going to be the intended use, road, sprint track etc? Four pot brakes are quite heavy and don't give you much advantage unless you are using sticky rubber and are hammering them over the standard setup. Mr Mac

 Re: Who bought this then.........
I have no idea of the history of the car at all which is a shame. Its had loads of bits and pieces added like the arches etc. It has a rover 100 rear subframe and 1.4 engine in the back and a mini subframe in the front. Ill add some pictures tomorrow if its not raining . I just need to know if rover 100 front brakes and hubs will bolt straight up to the mini frame and suspension on the front. Also what are the biggest brakes fitted to the rover 100 or are they the same throughout the range?
