Re: Rear Space frame dimensions!
Would be interested in those dimensions. I'm sure a space frame in the rear would be lighter than my standard frame, even if it is full of holes.

What West means is the support frame on the Coupe which the subframe bolts to. I did make tubular replacements for my subframes but I did them using a jig not a plan. I still have the dimensions. I'll dig them out.

Right. Here we are. If they don't come through OK I'll email the publisher files to you. The small bracket on the upper rear rail is not a GTM original. I fitted that as a mounting for the auxiliary engine steady.

Re: Rear Space frame dimensions!
Thats the one i was thinking of top man John
Measurements are looking good and concuring with mine,
I have started to make a jig for my new rear subframe and replicating the rear spaceframe to act as my jig, just some of the measurements are a little hard to get with engine etc inplace always worth measuring twice and verifying with someone elses if you can.
Time to go and do some more and get my jig 100% square before making the rest of it.

John,
The top drawing - are the top 2 dimentions reversed? 40.5 & 49 on "rear frame rear view"

The frame then tapers towards the rear as you can see on the top view so the distance between the top damper mounts is only 40.5" but if I'd drawn them to scale they'd have been over some of the rest of the drawing.

If you're interested, I've got GTM's original drawings for fitting K series in Coupe.

Re: Rear Space frame dimensions!
what are these " units of measurements? Never had those at school... Quite an interesting drawing- could be of use for me if the rear frame isn't in the greatest of condition when its stripped back.

Re: Rear Space frame dimensions!
If and when it gets a bit quieter at work, i'll copy the drawing across into Autocad so we can manipulate it a little easier.
