Post Coupe Heated Screen
Has anyone actually tried theirs yet?

I have 8)

Works OK, been testing mine in those first few minutes when leaving work and its cold and damp out there until the engine has warmed up and the heater is pumping out some heat. this week.

I measured the resistance of the screen before fitting and decided to use a 10 amp fuse for it as the math says it should draw approx 6. when I measured mine in use it was about 5.5Amps.

Cool that's a nice thing to have, I've found the Libra screen to mist up very easily

I have mine on a "headlight" type switch (off, A, A+B might be right name).
So I can have Driver only, or Both on at the same time, both are fed thru 30 Amp relays.
My thought there was no point in clearing the passengers side if I don't need it.

I should add I only have a PC fan and radiator for a heater, and it only feeds to a centre eyeball vent, and a couple of round "rocking" vent for the feet area. You know the ones that are fitted to Italian supercars but can be found on various Fiats in the scrapyard

Ken I am talking about the heated screens that dino sorted in the group buy finally fitted mine, and thought I had not seen anyone else report back yet.

The Coupe screen is bad for misting too like the libra, it is at such an angle and a small interior does not help.

Yes thats whats fitted in the Honda Coupe.

It's not the best of fits at the bottom corners, but thats maybe the shell not the screen

The comments about passenger side and drivers side threw me. Unless your screen on two seperate heater elements? as mine is only one for the full screen.

Fit wise on mine is ok not 100 % happy with lower left corner but my old screen was not 100% down on that corner too.

It's one of dinos screens.

Same as this. Note that the bottom busbar is split in the middle. 2 wires exit at each corner, these is
No measurable connection between each set.

Interesting its slightly different to mine.

I guess a different batch, mine has one element one wire in each corner, the copper band you see in yours is only top and bottom on mine and right at the edge of the screen so pretty much hides under the rubber.

That would be why mine draws a lower current as it is higher resistance. I was thinking when I first connected it up the coupe screen is actually quite big area so would prob benefit from being a split element.

I am still trying to think of a neater way of getting the cables out of the rubber.
