 Re: Boot lids
Early Cox GTMs had a one piece boot lid not dissimilar to the ones being manufactured in this thread. They were constructed with a foam core for rigidity. This is my 1967 Cox boot lid - as you can see it has had a few extra cut-outs over the years. Yes, the later two piece lids fit the early openings.

Andy wrote: Tim, I think I will be OK for that boot lid, I had a go myself as I kinda figured your one as good as it would be would end up too expensive with shipping costs, the end result is not bad. Thanks for the offer though No worries Andy. My mate who has got the pattern is back from his holiday at the weekend, so we should have a bit more progress soon.

 Re: Boot lids
I always found the two part boot lid rather annoying, so I do like this idea. I have no idea how I would match the green paint though I'd like to take it a step further and go for a fully hinged boot, a la lotus elise:

 Re: Boot lids
I think that the hinge could be done, but would need a bit of investigation, to make sure that the lid didn't foul on the tub when it was lifted or lowered. This would happen with a normal hinge, but I'm sure it can be done.
The whole idea of the one piece boot lid is for clearance for the carb or plenum, which always fouled with the standard one.

 Re: Boot lids
Will be. Just need to the time to get them sorted. My mate who is sorting the plug for the mold has made good progress on it. I'll have a word with him at the weekend and give him a nudge, as he's at his last hillclimb/sprint of the year, so he should have some more spare time soon. http://www.gosprinting.co.uk/docs/Thor09_Regs_A5.pdf I'll be there on the Saturday.
