 Re: My Coupe on E-bay
No its not sold. I withdrew it from the auction as I found I have broken the gear linkage moving the shell around the garage. Once I have the engine refitted and the car tested it wil be up for sale agan. Oh and I have fitted a genuine close ratio 1275gt gearbox as well which should improve the acceleration times along with the 1380. I may change my mind about selling once I have had a spin in it though.

 Re: My Coupe on E-bay
I was wondering if the car is still available at the advertised £1800 as I have an e-mail that states you now want £2200? Will £1800 still buy it? Confused!

You can't be far from Mick Jennings scrap yard, the only one i've ever been to with a rolling road and a crank balancer

 Re: My Coupe on E-bay
You could say that..... about 500yards.
I know Mick and Phil very well. I've been using Mick's yard for over 30 years. His engineering skills are just awesome. He was NASA Autograss Champion in 1980 in a Cooper Pick-up. Then he built a 4WD, 4WS, BDA engined Fiesta. The same BDA currently sits on a motorcycle-style gearbox with a chain primary drive and FI gears (all designed by Mick and cast by Taylors Foundry at Haverhill) in the rear of a Mini Pick-Up.
He was the first person I ever saw do a knife-edge crank, years ago. With an angle grinder...initially! His balancing skills are simply second to none. He used to do a lot of balancing for a 'well-known-Essex-engine-building-firm' and his work ended up in WRC cars for a major manufacturer.... LOL!
He lightened and balanced the flywheel on my Libra too. £75, I think it was.
Small world. Perhaps we should meet for a drink in Sudbury or similar.

 Re: My Coupe on E-bay
I've used Mick several times for balancing and been on his rollers too, the quality of his work from such "interesting" surroundings has to be seen to be believed A drink when the weather improves sounds like a good idea Perhaps you could pm me a contact no.
