It was for sale this time last year -- unfortunately it would have taken a lottery win for me to afford it -- any one know if it was sold?

Indeed great news. Nice to have you onboard.
I haven't seen this car for a few years now. It'd be good to have another nose around it sometime.

As the new owners what events are you looking at competing in next year :?: Any chance of entering into the Car-ni-val again as Jeremy did a few years back, or are you looking at more tarmac rally stuff :?:

Soooooooooooo the other question that wasn't answered when Jeremy had the car is......

How quick is it over a standing quater mile :?:

For reference.

I have a question, as the car was for sale on here so we saw the spec, did you go for the engine aswell, or without and fitted your own spec?

Neil

Post Re: Rally Coúpe
Hi Turbocox, Thanks for the welcome!
Ed Todd (ToddyRallyGTM) and me will be competeing in the North of England tarmac championship rallies. We are entered into the Christmas stages @ Croft on the 28 December and we will enter the Jack Frost @ Croft on Jan 17 as well. Other events we will be competeing in are to be decided but otterburn will be a definate. The car is amazing over the ranges especially with Ed at the wheel. As to how fast it is over the 1/4 mile I am not sure but it is very quick. It has surprised a few regular crews as to how quick it is. After 2 stages over otterburn we were lying 11th overall & posted some very quick (top 10) times later as we lost 6 minutes with a small off onto a grassy knoll. As the car is so low we got stuck and had to lift it off the grass knoll.
If I am correct we did 8.9 miles in 9.04 minutes over the twisty ranges but in a straight line flat out it should be quicker. Come on Ed how quick is it? Didn't Jeremy say we would be doing over 130 mph flat out?

Hi Neil,

Yep Ed purchased the car from Jeremy with the 2.0 ltr red top engine/gearbox fitted. Ed is now looking at a sequential box to be fitted in the new year. We haven't changed much on the GTM other than new brakes, tyres and fixed some of the wiring. Oh, Ed did an event at Ingliston (near Edinburgh) and blew the diff & the gearbox main shaft after a heavy landing over a jump. So the diff and gearbox have been overhauled.

Would you believe it?
Two weeks before a rally the garage roof falls down on the GTM due to excess snow.
