Post How Small or is it How Big?
Good day Guys, I presume you are all guys, not many ladies in the kitcar fraternity, always fancied a K3 the opportunity has arisen as there is now a space on the drive after the V6 MR2 leaves next week. I already have a 1.8 K series Freestyle but fancied a car a little more suited to all weathers with the intention of doing trackdays in it. The K3 seems to fit the bill, if I replace the 1.4 with a 1.8, VVC ideally, but I get ahead of myself.

The main purpose of the post is two fold, first to ask how much space is inside the cabin, can a person who is 6ft tall fit comfortably? secondly is there anyone reasonably close to Worksop, Sheffield, Doncaster with a K3 who wouldn't mind me having a sit inside.

There are 2 for sale (or was) in your For Sale section but both are a good distance away from me, I'd rather know I fit before trekking off with pound notes in my grubby hand.

Alan...

Hi,
I wouldn't be to worried about fitting in it, I was a large (22 stone) 6 foot tall and could comfortably drive the car, it was a little entertaining getting in and out of it.
Now I have lost a little weigh and just over 16.5 stone, it is alot easier to get in and out of the car.
I would also think it also depends on what seats are fitted.
You can come over and try mine for size not too local... Chorley lancashire.

If you are getting a K3 the 1.8vcc isn't a straight swap, nearly but not quite, there is alot of info on the forum about it, its all been done before.

Hope that helps
John

Thanks John, sounds about what I am currently so good to know it might just be a matter of changing the seats.

As to the 1.8 I've been reading the posts, modifications don't bother me & it's easier if it's a path that somebody has already ventured down, tbh it may depend on how the 1.4 feels. I've always fancied trying hillclimb/sprint & in that scenario the 1.4 is in a lower class so might even be an advantage.

Hi Alan,
I live at Barlborough and my K3 is going for MOT on Monday. I have Mamba seats in it which are comfy but hold you tight so I will be taking the lid off for the test cos the garage man is bigger than me. You are welcome to come across and try it out, you are only 20 minutes away at Worksop. It has had the 1.4 engine replaced with a 1.8i so you can see how it fits.
Peter.

I'm 6'1" and I wouldn't want to be any bigger with the standard Metro GTi seats in there.
