Post Loud, ear piercing squeek!
Just a quicky for anyone who knows.

The last time I drove my Libra I seem to have the this very loud (well it seems loud when in driving) ear piercing squeek, that seems to happen when driving at speeds over 40mph.

Now I can't seem to find anything "rubbing", like metal on metal or metal on GRP, so my worry is, could it be a ball joint on the rear tailing arms?

The car has done 13k, and has the ball joints from when I bought the kit in 2003.

Any ideas?

My first thought was Mice, as the car's been off the road.

I've never heard a ball joint squeak :?:

The only ear piercing squeak I've ever had was the fan belt slipping, although it was the alternator seizing actually.

Thanks Bob

Although it's been nearly two years since this post, I did finally find out what it was.

I had turned the rebound? dials up on the shock absorbers by about 10 clicks. I spent some time over the weekend just looking through the book and checking things, setting bits back to "as per the book" and found that the dials were clicked 15 clicks from soft, rather than the suggested 5-6.

Anyway, drove the car, and all sorted :D
