 Re: Kano Coupe
It is a long time since an engine has been in there, had to have a little surgery to cut out the 1" square cross tube, never had that in my old Cox GTM, another problem for my one off LCB exhaust. will make a bridge piece to bolt in.

 Re: Kano Coupe
An alternative steering locking system? The caliper back plates are not yet cut to size and everything just tack welded together to see how it looks, it would be drilled to suit my Toyota calipers, reduced in size and ribbed around the locking arm pivot to stop any flex under load; the inner pivot is attached to my local made camber adjustable lower arms that are Mini Spares copies. Re: Kano Coupe
From memory 12ft.
Yes it is that long, longer than a Coupe thus allowing you to get nice gentle curves in the cable.

 Re: Kano Coupe
Hi Sanzo, I would guess the speedo in a box of bits that came with my car is Metro of MG it is made for a moulded connector that snaps into a groove on the speedo at T'other end is the normal Mini gearbox nut onto an outer cable flange, the speedo end is a square drive and if I remeber corectly the gearbox end is a flat "spade" Sadly My sample end fittings are in the UK as I took them back last year with the plan to get one made and did'nt I'll be back next Monday and will pass Bristol M4-M5 on 22nd April and again on 30th April or I will be at Stoneleigh on the Monday, if we could meet up? Cheers John

Cheers John TBH I can't remember the end fittings on the MGF cable as I simply removed it and then it went into the shed somewhere as I have an adaptor to convert the gearbox output to electronic pulses and then just a wire to the speedo. Pretty sure the speedo end is a square. At a guess I would have said the gearbox end is a square too. I'll dig it out of the shed and take some pix. I am currently planning (but not def) to be at Stoneleigh on the Sunday but could leave it in the tent for you. Alternatively on 22nd I'll most likely be at work very close to J19 of the M5 (Portishead) during the day or home (Yate - North of M4 between 18 and 19) in the evening.
