 Re: Kano Coupe
Mine is late a Heerey 9registered Aug 71) and it came with a rod change set up, to be honest in Historic racing they know loads about Elans, Healeys etc but my GTM is the first to race in the HSCC so they will not really know what is what! G

 Re: Kano Coupe
I have recently altered mine. I had some weird universal arm that fitted poorly and when it broke I looked into something else.
So I have a Mini setup as a single arm.
I changed the wheel box for a tapered spline unit to suit my new wiper.
I currently have a BMW E46 compact rear wiper fitted, It has a nice strong spring so should not lift. It is dead straight and I think I fitted a 15 inch blade. It ended up being identical in size to my last one but being dead straight it sits great on the screen.
I think Ken555 used a micra wiper arm

NISSAN MICRA K11E 1993 TO 2001 REAR WIPER ARM
You will find a few Japanese cars use the same spline size as the old Austin/Morris/BL/BMC/Triumph/ lol setups

One of the reasons I went BMW, Is I have a compact and saw the arm was spot on the same length as my GTM one . Also being on a tapered wheel box it means it has a nut holding it on too. I have has the clip on type come off before now. Neil

I've had the clip on ones fly away, but if it is something I don't have to make I'm going the easy route John

 Re: Kano Coupe
Has anybody had a cover for a Coupe, or knows of a small cover that fits fairly well I'm not bothered about tailor made, I can't try it on for size outside the shop like some of you lot can John

 Re: Kano Coupe
With apologies, can I jump back to an earlier posting? Was very interested to read about West's wiper arrangement. I too wanted to use a tapered spline and had various MGF bits to hand but it uses push rods rather than a wheelbox and rack. I have bodged an old Jaguar rack, a Land Rover wheelbox and welded the tapered MGF splined shaft onto the cut down Rover shaft. It is not very elegant. West, does your wheelbox work with a flexible rack, like Land Rovers, classic Minis, etc, or is it more complicated than that? I was aiming for 1 wiper so it would have to sweep way beyond 90 degrees.
